The Indirect Purchasing Director will be responsible to creating and executing indirect goods and services strategies that align with Luminar expectations while creating and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements Indirect Purchasing strategies that achieve Luminar’s performance goals for Equipment, Tooling, and non-production related Goods and Services Agreements
  • Responsible for supplier negotiations to attain the most competitive pricing, quality, delivery and service
  • Collaborates cross functionally with Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance to align on strategic sourcing initiatives and budget requirements
  • Plans, develops and implements business plans and budgets including long range objectives, performance goals and metrics
  • Applies complex analytics and benchmarking to enable optimized cost savings
  • Develops risk mitigation strategies to ensure no disruptions to Luminar supply chain
  • Ensure positive supplier relationships are maintained and hold suppliers accountable to achieve Luminar policies and procedures
  • Expedite orders when necessary, escalating potential issues and mitigating roadblocks
  • Develops and implements Indirect Purchasing procedures to ensure SOX and P2P compliance
  • Provides guidance to the Indirect Purchasing team

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain management
  • 10+ years’ experience in Indirect Purchasing sourcing
  • Experience in contract management and SOX compliance
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence cross functional teams through effective communication and persuasive positioning
  • Manage multiple priorities from concept to completion in a fast paced environment
