Who We Are 

Our Accounting & Reporting team is responsible for the core accounting and reporting processes and systems that run Wayfair. Finance at Wayfair is tasked with delivering clean, accurate and fast financial information. We own the accuracy, structuring and availability of the financial data that powers Wayfair's data-driven and cost-conscious culture. 

We are recruiting an Accounting and Reporting Intern to support our Accounting & Reporting team to provide comprehensive US GAAP and Local GAAP accounting for our European entities in a fast growing, high volume driven business. You’ll be working as part of a committed European Accounting & Reporting Function to ensure accurate and timely reporting. We’re looking for somebody ambitious to adapt and grow in the role, who can collaborate effectively with their immediate team and our wider Finance organisation. You will be a Finance or Accounting student with ambitions to pursue a career in Accountancy or Finance. You will enjoy working as part of an international team and multicultural environment, and be adept in effectively communicating with a range of people and teams. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Assist the accounting team in preparing accounting entries; 
  • Preparation of the monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and statutory financial reporting; 
  • Providing accounting and financial analysis to management and stakeholders; 
  • Completing various checks and controls to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting 
  • Answering and gathering data for stakeholder queries; 
  • Participate in local, regional and global projects, as required 
  • Assisting team members with various month end and Ad hoc tasks 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Currently studying for OR have recently completed a Business or Finance degree; 
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills; fluent in English, written and verbal; 
  • Experience with MS Office, with excellent knowledge of Excel; 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfortable managing and analysing large volumes of data; 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met; 
  • Previous experience in Accounting is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided
