📃 Responsibilities

 

As a Junior Product Designer at Koodoo, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and design of our cutting-edge products. Your responsibilities will include:

· Design Systems: Assist in maintaining and expanding our design system, learning best practices for consistent and efficient design.

· Strategy: Participate in brainstorming sessions with product managers to identify opportunities, understand user needs, and contribute to the product roadmap.

· Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other designers to refine requirements, ensuring new features align with design principles. Create clear and concise documentation to facilitate communication.

· Communication: Effectively present design decisions and rationale to the wider team, fostering understanding and alignment.

· Prototyping and Testing: Contribute to building prototypes to demonstrate interactions and participate in user testing sessions to gather feedback.

· Stay Informed and Innovate: Stay up-to-date on design trends and tools. Bring fresh ideas to the table and learn from senior designers to continuously improve our products.

· Quality Assurance: Maintain a keen eye for detail throughout the design process, ensuring a high-quality final product.

· Data-Driven Design: You'll gain exposure to how data informs design decisions, and how to use it to iterate on your work.

💪 Requirements

 

Minimum Requirements

· Experience: 0-2 years of experience designing digital products, and a demonstrably strong design portfolio showcasing your talent.

· Portfolio: A design portfolio that demonstrates design principles for web and/or mobile platforms.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools with a basic understanding of prototyping concepts.

· Understanding of UX Principles: A foundational grasp of user-centered design principles and an eagerness to learn about user testing methodologies.

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationales to team members and stakeholders.

· Right to Work: Must be legally authorised to work in the country where the job is located.

Ideal Requirements

· Additional Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS as well as proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

· Commercial and Business Thinking: A willingness to learn how design decisions can impact business goals

· Stakeholder Engagement: A desire to collaborate with various teams (marketing, sales) to ensure designs align with business objectives.
