LAUNCH PAD TECHNICIAN (CIVIL) - LEVEL 4/5

Launch Pad Civil Technicians play a crucial role in pad 2 civil construction and maintenance and upgrade of launch pad infrastructure. They are responsible for civil construction including excavation for underground utility, grading, and chipping concrete and maintenance pad including drainage, fence, wetland protection silt fence and managing concrete and steel contractors to make sure to meet high standard of quality and safety and schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Move and position raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment
  • Support inspection and maintenance of excavators, backhoe, bulldozers, graders, or loaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 6+ years of professional experience working hands-on with heavy equipment, heavy equipment operations and/or production maintenance

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience installing civil infrastructure projects such as underground utilities
  • Experience working with excavators, loaders, motor graders, dozers, or trenchers
  • Experience performing area, volume and grade calculations in the field
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
  • Commercial Driver’s license (CDL)
  • Ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics, drawings, and instructions

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work day shift (6AM - 6PM) or night shift (6PM - 6AM)
  • Periodic work in extreme outdoor environments: heat, cold, wind, rain
  • Work hours depend on site priorities and may require extended hours; flexibility required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:Launch Pad Technician/Level 4: $33.00/hourLaunch Pad Technician/Level 5: $38.00 - $48.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
