As the Principal Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for defining, architecting, and building data and analytics products/solutions for AKQA’s clients to drive insight and inform decision-making. You will focus on understanding key business and customer problems and opportunities related to data types (first, second, and third party); and designing solutions to meet those needs. You will help establish AKQA as leaders in the creation and deployment of data-driven insight, powered by data science.

Located in Melbourne, we work in a hybrid WFH model, with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday based in the studio each week.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the go-to person for web/app tracking, data analytics, reporting/dashboarding, and solution documentation
  • Recommend digital measurement tactics and help define appropriate measurement frameworks
  • Collaborate with web developers to define/setup/modify tagging infrastructure, and create tagging implementation documentation
  • Analyse web/app usage and performance, document findings and provide recommendations on potential improvement
  • Create reusable dashboards and reports in Google Data Studio, Power BI, or Tableau, create solution documentation and present the solution as required
  • Work with CX Strategists and web developers to design, deploy, analyse, and optimise A/B and multivariate tests across a variety of platforms such as GA, Adobe Target, Sitecore DMS, or Optimizely

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong experience in delivering digital analytics solutions, from defining/implementing measurement strategies to extracting actionable insights for guiding user experience optimisation
  • Previous hands-on experience working with Google Analytics, GDS, Google Tag Manager, and the wider Google Analytics 360 suite
  • Solid understanding of the conceptual underpinnings of web analytics platforms, with thorough working knowledge and experience of Google Analytics (essential) or Adobe SiteCatalyst (advantageous)
  • Understanding of best practices in web/app tracking and implementation, and campaign tracking expertise is advantageous
  • Proven experience of applying agile project management frameworks to deliver digital analytics solutions
  • Experience with reporting and dashboarding tools such as Google Data Studio (essential), Tableau, or Power BI (advantageous)
  • Experience with A/B testing software such as Optimizely VWO is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills to confidently present insights and ‘tell a story’ with data, and document project deliverables (architecture design, management frameworks, and reports)
  • Enthusiastic, solution-focused attitude, with a passion for finding the best project outcomes
