Our goal is to help dogs live healthier, happier and longer lives whilst leaving humans smiling after every interaction. We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave) hand-delivered the first Butternut Box, we now feed a lot of dogs across the UK - but we want to feed dogs everywhere. And to do this, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work with us. In return for your tail-wagging dedication, we offer a competitive wage of £13.16 per hour plus a shift premium of 20% (£15.80 per hour) base salary is £28,151, with 20% (£33,782)

👋  A bit about the role

As a lead operator you will work in our Production this role your can expect to: 

• Coordinate areas & shift responsibilities and work with the team leader to improve shift productivity (plan attainment)
• Conduct quality checks to ensure a great customer experience
• Be the go-to person for all other operatives on shift
• Attend daily review meetings, appointing other operatives duties and appointing staff role change overs
• Prepare for the shift ahead confirming enough materials and stock are prepared
• Conduct quality checks ensuring that we meet product specifications
• Perform machine/equipment hygiene and changeovers
• Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators
• Be humble in work duties, being open to jump on the production line, get stuck in with cleaning duties and helping other areas of the business

🐶  A bit about you

• Previous experience as a lead or skilled operator
• Ability to read and communicate confidently in English
• Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, including an ability to communicate with employees at all levels in a warm and understanding manor
• Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn
• Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb
• Resilient and adaptable, faces into the tough stuff and keen to help growth
• Someone who loves the pace and excitement of FMCG manufacturing
