The Localisation Team
The localisation team focuses on the management and coordination of localisation projects. They work to ensure the smooth execution of localisation tasks and the timely delivery of localised content.
The Localisation Project Manager Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Digital Globalisation the Localisation Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of marketing localisation projects to ensure the successful adaptation of our products/content for target markets worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including translation vendors,, designers, developers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality localised content within specified timelines and budgets.We are looking for a highly self-motivated, technically skilled team player to help manage marketing localisation processes in our digital team. Someone who will play an instrumental role in deploying localised digital programs as one of the enablers to grow and solidify the company’s global market share. Join our team! What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for planning, execution, and on-time delivery of Marketing localisation projects, of various complexity.
- Ability to identify and prioritise key localisation deliverables; anticipate and call out blockers or technical issues as soon as they arise.
- Set expectations, develop schedules, negotiate deadlines with Language Services Providers (LSPs) and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Independently forecast and track localisation costs. Communicate and explain cost elements to stakeholders. Where applicable, negotiate productivity costs with LSPs.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and best practices for future localisation projects.
- Understand foundational internationalisation requirements and contribute to internationalisation solutions to minimise impact on localisation scalability.
- Ability to develop and implement localisation processes and train internal stakeholders on localisation best practices.
- Contribute to developing, measuring, and analysing Localisation KPI
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in localisation and localisation technology.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Business or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience with Marketing Localisation project management, testing and bug tracking.
- Strong technical and business drivers understanding of Marketing Workflows, Web Development and QA.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), time-management skills and ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects of various complexity with various timelines; respond quickly and enthusiastically to business-driven changes.
- Aptitude to quickly learn and utilise new tools, applications, and technical information.
- Knowledge of software engineering methodologies, product release cycles, and knowledge base documentation to effectively manage schedules and deliverables.
- Knowledge of Office and Adobe Suite, in-depth knowledge of Translation Management tools and Machine Translation practices.
And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!
- PMP and/or Localisation PM certificate is a plus.
- Experience with process and tool automation is a plus.
