Job Description

We've recently moved into our new purpose built custom facility, and our team continues to grow!  As such, we are seeking a Maintenance Electrician who will be responsible for maintaining all equipment at Youfoodz. The maintenance performed, is both scheduled preventative and reactive maintenance responding to breakdown calls from the production team. The Maintenance Electrician will also assist with capital projects as required.

You will…

• Perform preventative maintenance work as scheduled, both electrical and mechanical
• Respond to calls from production staff to fault find and rectify equipment and machinery faults
• Follow all processes and procedures during the course of the work to satisfy quality requirements and processes.
• Assist with the stock maintenance of critical spares
• Assist in the development of processes and procedures for driving continuous improvement to reduce machinery downtime and improve efficiency
• Report on daily findings and activities during shift handovers
• Drive to other sites when required for maintenance and repairs
• Assist with capital projects and new installations as required

You have…

Essential:

• Trade qualified electrician
• Australian drivers licence
• 5 years of experience in maintaining electromechanical machinery
• 3 years of experience in food industry maintenance
• Experience and understanding of HACCP and GMP
• Experience and understanding of automated machinery and PLC programming
• Mechanical fault finding ability

Desirable:

• Forklift licence
• Stainless TIG welding ability
• Fabrication ability

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia

Location: Karawatha, Brisbane

Roster/Shifts: Night shift - Wednesday - Saturday 15:00 - 01:00
