Role: Management Accountant - FTC 6 months

Location:Hybrid / x2 days per week in London, England (need to work closely with the Group Finance team)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Management Accountant will be part of a Finance Team managing the central overhead accounts. The region is led by the London based team. This role offers a great opportunity to gain international experience and learn a broad range of skills in a fasting growing region while being employed by an amazing company. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Full general ledger management of Parent company  
  • Preparation of cost accruals, prepayments, employee benefits, Loan and Interest Rec and capitalization of Parent company costs. 
  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts (P&L, balance sheet, detailed variance analysis to forecast and prior month) 
  • Prepare Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations (excluding trading balances) 
  • Prepare Weekly Cashflows for reporting into Treasury. 
  • Assist with quarter-end reporting, quarterly rolling forecasts and annual budgets. 
  • Process the monthly recharges for global costs. SMT and TBG (Invoicing, Reconciliation, and consolidation) 
  • Support the AR and AP function to ensure correct coding and balances. 
  • Support the PO officer to ensure an up-to-date PO tracker is kept and intercompany invoices been issued on time. 
  • Be a contact person for intercompany billing, reporting and reconciliation for the client  
  • Support reporting team on month end reporting. 
  • Reconcile Accrued Purchases, Post vendor Bill Analysis and GRN reporting. 
  • Reconcile and post credit card and Gray Dawes expenditure.
  • Post and reconcile HO payroll and Implementation recharges.
  • Assist with month-end tasks such as Group intercompany declarations and reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month-end group consolidation of 50+ legal entities.
  • Provide support for interim and year-end audit and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support our Tax and Treasury team and with compliance (Statutory Accounts, CT, WHT, Loan Reconciliations, Insurances)
  • Provide support to business partnering for the client's Expenses  
  • Help develop and drive continuous improvement, standardisation of processes and automation,
  • Support the group team with ad-hoc requests, intercompany and required group schedules. 
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Part or Fully Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) 
  • Experience in financial/management accounting is essential 
  • Experience working with international markets is desirable but not essential 
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and confident in dealing with people of all levels 
  • Knowledge of Accounting Systems (Netsuite, Xero, Workday Adaptive Planning experience is desirable) 
  • Strong Excel Skills 
  • Ability to present financial information clearly 
  • Organised with the ability to implement and maintain systems 
  • Be adaptive to changing requests and priorities 
  • Ability to self-start and manage deliverables independently
  • Be commercially aware - understand local market factors, performance, impact of decisions, and can provide valuable recommendations to the business. 
  • You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role​
