The Analytics Manager will  play a key role in our rapidly growing Data Analytics function.  He or she will partner directly with our Customer Success team and cross company Go-To-Market Solutions team (GTM-S) to surface key insights to drive business decision making and operational efficiencies.  This position requires a driven individual who is able to work with senior leadership comfortably, execute tasks from start to finish, and who enjoys working across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced and challenging environment.  This position will also manage and mentor a team of analysts, guiding the team in delivering valuable insights to the business as well as providing opportunities for learning and career development.

We are open to a remote working model for this position with periodic travel to New York City for the right candidate. 

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 4 analysts in support of our Customer Success and Go-To-Market Solutions stakeholder teams
  • Serve as strategic thought-partner to these teams, helping develop actionable insights out of a wide expanse of customer and product data 
  • Leverage understanding of statistics and advanced analytical methods to conduct analyses that help partner teams make quicker, more informed decisions
  • Partner with functional leads and ops teams to set and track KPIs and manage the business effectively
  • Be a “player/coach”, guiding your team in delivery of high-quality analytical outputs as well as diving in and conducting analysis on your own as necessary
  • Champion the use of data to drive decision making across the company and at all levels of the organization
  • Effectively communicate analytical findings to non-technical audiences; mentor and guide your team on strategic communication  
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • 7+ years of analytics experience, ideally at a software company
  • 2+ years managing a team of analysts
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a quantitative focus (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, etc.)
  • Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions including the ability to structure problems for analysis
  • Ability to understand business priorities and prioritize scarce resources appropriately
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in scripting with either Python or R
  • Ability to query, transform and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Experience using statistical methods to solve complex problems 
  • Strong experience in data visualization; BI tool of Tableau preferred
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written, and visual; ability to take the results of analyses and communicate actionable recommendations concisely to senior management
  • Eager to roll up your sleeves and dig into any problem in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in a self-guided manner

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$118,000—$231,000 USD
