About the job

As a Manager on the Global Events team, you will play a pivotal role in the creation of event websites, registration management, and onsite execution of both innovative large scale and intimate high touch internal and customer events for Twilio. When bandwidth allows, this role will also support in overall program logistics planning.  This dynamic position requires a strategic thinker with a creative edge, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding event experiences.  We are looking for a creative and hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This role will lead Event Technology for all Internal Events such as Sales Kickoff, Sales Club, and VOX Summit as well as our high touch Customer Events including CABs, Exec Connect, and Analyst Summit.  They will also provide support for our SIGNAL User Conference.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage event technology, including website creation through Swoogo, registration management from start to finish, and onsite execution.
    • Project manage marketing site/registration builds
    • Survey creation
    • Attendee communications
    • Badging and other onsite needs
    • Managing applicable vendor relationships
    • Creating registration reports, emails, and updating page builds as needed
  • Hotel room block management support, including documentation, communication with hotel leads, reservation management/rooming list management. 
  • Employee registration support for SIGNAL programs
  • Support Internal Events Center management
  • Twilion communications support related to internal events & SIGNAL (answering emails/Slack/supporting comms as needed for registration related questions)
  • Serve as registration & event technology workstream lead, leading status meetings, pre-program walkthroughs, and program debriefs.
  • Manage applicable budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
  • Support post-event analysis to measure the success of each event against predetermined goals.
  • Create and maintain applicable timelines, ensuring that all tasks and deadlines are tracked and met.
  • Support the day-to-day management of event operations and partnerships that support employee touchpoint goals and event initiatives. Step in to fill holes where needed in an ever-changing event landscape. 
  • Think outside the box and push team members to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the greater team to keep our events dynamic and engaging.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand their needs and incorporate them into event planning.
  • Streamline our planning so we can focus on delivering innovative and engaging event experiences to Twilions. Recommend areas we can automate or improve processes and work cross functionally to ensure program priorities are being met. 
  • Spend the time to deeply understand our employees and solve problems from their perspective. Treat internal supporting organizations and workstreams as internal customers to ensure their needs are met and that the Internal Events Team maintains a strong internal reputation as being a best-in-class event team to support and partner with. 
  • Support overall Global Event Team initiatives.

Required:

  • 3+ years experience in event technology, registration management, or a related field.
  • Hotel room block management experience
  • Familiarity with event technologies
  • Excellent influencing, problem-solving, and consensus-building skills
  • Superior organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Create a sense of urgency where needed to stay on track with important milestones and deliverables in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, build strong relationships and interface effectively with all levels of management and teams across multiple departments

Desired:

  • Swoogo knowledge/familiarity and/or exposure to other registration platforms
  • Experience using Airtable, SalesForce, Tableau, Google Suite, and Slack.

Location

This role will be remote but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

Travel

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 15% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $84,320 - $105,400.

  • Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $89,280 - $111,600.

  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
