Wayfair is looking for a Manager on our Procurement Product team to drive the ongoing optimization of our cloud-based procure-to-pay system and subsequent spend processes. This highly visible role is pivotal to standardizing our firm-wide buying process, improving our downstream financial operations, tracking spend data, unlocking process efficiencies, and maximizing our team’s return on investment. We are looking for adaptable doers who are great at engaging with stakeholders, questioning inefficiencies, using data to solve problems, and multi-tasking.
As the lead Product Manager, you will need to understand the needs of cross-functional partners across finance, accounting, engineering, and the business - then translate them into a product strategy and roadmap for our suite of Procurement tools, including Coupa, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Vendor Management System. You will need to be skilled at navigating a multitude of strong ideas, selecting the ones that will drive our agenda the furthest, and communicating the priorities back to our partners. As the internal expert and guru of our procure-to-pay systems, you’ll then roll up your sleeves with the Procurement Operations and partner teams to get the work done.
You will bring a strong background in Product and/or Procurement best practices and help to drive the discovery effort of new features as well as the execution of ongoing ones. This role is ideal for someone who's both business and tech-savvy and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do- Create and drive a roadmap aimed at revamping our procure-to-pay system, with a focus on results and the experience of users.
- Partner with stakeholders and senior leaders across departments to understand needs, identify gaps in current processes, define product design and functional requirements, and implement a system roadmap to drive business impact.
- Lead the implementation of a vendor management system.
- Oversee system updates and manage the ongoing relationship with our vendor; coordinate associated change management efforts as necessary.
- Develop and monitor functional performance metrics (KPIs) and devise/deploy strategies for ongoing program optimization.
- Create reporting suite to distribute to category sourcing and cross-functional connections to highlight trends and opportunities to reduce spend through sourcing efforts, catalog enablement, and process improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering to review, prioritize, and action system enhancement requests and reconfigurations.
- 4+ years’ experience in Product Management, procurement operations/sourcing, systems management, or strategy consultancy; experience with a cloud-based P2P system is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required and preferred in an analytical field, such as economics, engineering, business, math, statistics, science, or analytics.
- Ability to thrive in a high growth and entrepreneurial environment where strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are a must.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and executive management.
- Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A track record of successful relationship management skills.
- An ability to hit the ground running and learn quickly; a self-starter.
