You will… 

  • Assist with all elements of transactions including acquisitions (buy, lease), divestments (sale, lease exits), and other portfolio related activities (renewals, subleases, amendments).
  • Coordinate the transaction process end-to-end, including strategy development, overseeing market surveys and tours, coordinating site visits, alternative comparisons, developing the negotiating strategy, document review, help with and in some cases lead negotiating letters of intent and finalizing lease documents, approval preparation, signing, and close out reporting
  • Partner with legal on document negotiation on leases, purchase and sale agreements, site plan approvals, acquiring development rights and multi-party easement agreements. 
  • Manage lease administration for national footprint of industrial, office, and last mile logistic assets
  • Collaborate with various departments including Construction, Finance, Operations and Legal to ensure seamless execution of real estate strategies and to integrate into broader business planning
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly presentations and reports on the real estate portfolio for the executive team 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate owners, developers, brokers, bankers and consultants and outside counsel
  • Develop management dashboards and establish relevant metrics to inform future decisions as part of a real estate and workplace strategy.

Develop strategies for the management of the financial impact of real estate to minimization real estate expenses and enhance the optimization of operating expenses vs. square feet of facilities occupied

  • Evaluate real estate transactions on a financial pro forma basis and 
  • Prepare transaction memoranda to gain internal approval from executive leadership and the board
  • Attend to facility related issues, working with vendors and internal teams to field requests and create processes. 

 

You are…

  • Experienced in commercial real estate with a strong grasp of fundamentals involving transaction management and property management in a corporate environment (incl. principles of real estate law)
  • Highly organized, good with multitasking and possess the ability to relentlessly prioritize multiple projects at once and execute effectively.
  • A great communicator with the ability to cultivate long-lasting partnerships while negotiating effectively
  • Self-aware and have the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including cross-functionally with internal groups and externally with partners
  • Analytically advanced and have familiarity with CRE technology applications and platforms.
  • Adept at creating executive level presentations, including the ability to gather relevant data and information and communicate ideas effectively.
  • Proficient in real estate in real estate financial analysis, discounted cash flows and analysis of real estate market data

 

At a minimum, you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Real Estate or Finance from a top-tier university 
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial real estate (office, industrial or retail experience strongly preferred), brokerage, consulting or related experience
  • Solid understanding of the relevant real estate markets and industry standards
  • Clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Sheets
  • Ability to build trust and relationships in a multi-national working environment
  • Experience project managing cross-functional teams and dealing with complex business challenges in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to balance multiple, often competing priorities
  • Comfortable and willing to collaborate in-person frequently

New York Pay Range$97,500—$130,000 USD
