Together, our community has raised more than $40 billion since 2010.

GoFundMe is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow our Integrations team. This team owns business critical surfaces including Public APIs, Webhooks, Salesforce integrations (NPC, NPSP), and solutions such as Workato and Zapier. You'll also provide technical and strategic direction for our Integrations Platform as we scale its capabilities.

This is a high-impact leadership role that will drive seamless connectivity between internal systems and external platforms enabling GoFundMe to deliver exceptional user experiences with operational efficiency. You’ll lead a talented group of engineers, contribute technically when needed, and help shape the future of our Integrations Platform.

This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week at the office, and we are therefore only able to consider candidates who are located or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA.

The Job…

  • Lead and scale the Integrations team, providing both technical direction and people leadership.
  • Drive best practices for scalable, secure, and efficient integration architecture.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for overall B2B integrations, ensuring robust solutions align with GoFundMe’s objectives.
  • Drive technical excellence and delivery across a stack that includes AWS-hosted infrastructure and modern backend languages (Node.js, Python, Java).
  • Bring strong people leadership skills to coach, mentor, and grow engineers, while fostering a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
  • Be hands-on when needed, diving into architecture reviews, code, and incident resolution as a player-coach.
  • Comfortable with jumping on calls with customers to triage/solution problems or configuration challenges.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, GTM teams, and external partners to deliver seamless integration experiences.
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and foster best practices in system design, integration architecture, and operational excellence.

Qualifications…

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering backend and integration-heavy systems.
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience with large-scale B2B system integrations and data synchronization using cloud native or on-prem, custom solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise in at least two of: Node.js, Python, Java.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to hire, retain, and develop engineering talent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred…

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, APIs, and efficient integration design patterns.
  • Familiarity with iPaaS tools like Workato or Zapier, and Salesforce platform integrations (esp. NPC/NPSP) is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with AWS services (esp. around data integration, e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve code quality, engineering velocity, and team productivity.
  • Salesforce certifications or related (e.g., Platform Developer II, Integration Architect).
