We are looking for a highly capable and strategic L3 SIM Team Lead to manage and grow key supplier relationships while driving operational excellence in CastleGate (CG) and Multichannel (MC) logistics solutions. This leader will serve as the primary point of contact for top-tier suppliers/customers, driving adoption of our 3PL services and ensuring a high-quality partnership experience. In addition, this role will be responsible for leading a 5+ FTE team, fostering talent development, and embedding operational rigor and customer-centricity in day-to-day engagement.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of account management, logistics/3PL expertise, and team leadership, requiring strong collaboration across Commercial, CGF, and Global Strategy teams.

What You’ll Do Supplier Partnership & Account Management
  • Own and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers leveraging Wayfair’s official fulfillment services—CastleGate and Multichannel.
  • Lead commercial discussions with suppliers (our “customers”) focused on CG/MC value proposition, adoption plans, and inventory planning across Wayfair and external channels.
  • Act as a key escalation point to remove operational blockers and align supplier actions with global standards and expectations.
3PL Strategy & Operational Guidance
  • Serve as the team’s subject matter expert on 3PL and warehouse operations, advising suppliers and internal teams on fulfillment best practices, warehouse flows, and inbound/outbound logistics.
  • Partner with local Commercial, Operations, and Marketing teams, as well as global Product and SC Ops, to enhance Wayfair’s fulfillment offerings and unlock new supplier growth opportunities.
  • Guide and support the team in selling CG/MC services as scalable 3PL solutions and ensuring successful supplier onboarding and retention.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5+ specialists, fostering a high-performance and feedback-driven culture.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics aligned to supplier engagement and MC/CG growth targets.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, ensuring strong alignment across internal stakeholders (e.g., CM, CGF, MC Product, SC Ops).
What You’ll Need Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in account management, supply chain operations, or logistics/3PL services.
  • Proven success managing large, strategic customer relationships—ideally in e-commerce, retail, or fulfillment industries.
  • Deep understanding of 3PL/warehouse operations and best practices; capable of educating and guiding both suppliers and team members.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, with a track record of building and coaching high-performing teams.
  • Fluent English skills, with strong written and verbal communication to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling or launching 3PL/fulfillment services.
  • Knowledge of cross-border e-commerce, global supply chains, or similar fulfillment ecosystems.
  • Proficiency with data and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Docs, Excel, SQL) for monitoring team performance and driving data-informed decisions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
Key Leadership Traits
  • Think Big, Act Fast – Sets ambitious goals and mobilizes teams quickly to capture opportunity.
  • Build High-Performing Teams – Creates a culture of ownership and accountability; actively mentors and develops talent.
  • Operate at All Levels – Moves between strategy and execution with ease; rolls up sleeves when needed.
  • Collaborate Effectively – Brings people together across functions and geographies; shares context to drive alignment.
  • Deliver Results – Holds self and team to high standards; consistently follows through and drives measurable outcomes.
Why You’ll Love This Role
  • Be at the forefront of scaling CG/MC as a market-facing 3PL solution.
  • Work with leading global suppliers and build long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Shape team culture and develop the next generation of SIM talent.
  • Join a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly impacts business growth and customer success.
