We’re looking for a Manager to lead our Trust and Safety Global Outsourcing Program, growing and evolving our vendor management operation. You’ll be responsible for supporting a team building and executing against our Trust and Safety vendor management roadmap that outlines our plans to scale operations with a third party partnership while ensuring our vendors are meeting their contractual obligations in supporting our Trust and Safety work. We’re looking for someone who embodies Pinterest values, believes in building relationships and building effective vendor management programs. You’ll help us fulfill that mission by working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, providing insight and developing a strategy that improves our vendor management program, while maintaining a high level of performance management across various work streams.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a Trust and Safety Vendor Management team that both support our outsourcing roadmap and manage the day to day performance of our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners.
- Support and implement comprehensive vendor management strategies, operational playbooks, and resolution processes aligned with organizational goals.
- Advise on negotiations and managing contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for Pinterest Trust and Safety.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and implement them within the vendor management program.
- Lead quarterly business review (QBR) presentations to help our teams best present feedback and insights during QBR with vendors.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a portfolio of key vendors.
- Integrate and synthesize information from multiple Trust and Safety teams, including Quality, Policy, and Trust and Safety Operations, in order to operationalize complex issues, mitigate risks, and solve problems.
- Work directly with the Trust and Safety Workforce Planning Manager to address vendor headcount and skill needs to support our global Trust and Safety efforts.
- Oversee vendor performance, conduct regular evaluations, and address any performance issues proactively.
- Prepare regular reports on vendor performance, including but not limited to, procurement cost analysis and quality.
- Utilize data insights to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the procurement process and drive efficiencies.
- Manage vendor selection process, when required, to ensure objectivity and efficiency in identifying the best vendors for specific Trust and Safety needs.
- Partner with product & engineering teams to test new vendors, coordinate roadmaps, and bring new partnerships to market.
- Drive continuous improvement and increased efficiencies from our vendors, ensuring cost savings while maintaining a high bar on quality.
What we’re looking for:
- 7+ years of experience in program management, vendor management and operational strategy.
- 3+ years of people management experience - with a track record of developing talent and supporting career growth.
- Experience designing and delivering on a vendor management strategy, setting KPIs that align with broader business priorities.
- Demonstrated experience applying critical problem solving skills to address areas of improvement, propose solutions and enhance operational performance.
- Experience gathering and presenting clear and concise information to executive leadership.
- Project management experience, including multitasking to lead and execute multiple projects in parallel.
- Influential at all levels, with strong stakeholder management and experience partnering with different parts of Business teams.
- Experience identifying and gaining alignment on the most logical path forward to overcome any key blockers, by continually looking around corners and finding practical/creative solutions.
