Manufacturing Engineer

Factor_ a brand of HelloFresh is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer.  As a Food Manufacturing Engineer at HelloFresh and Factor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. You will be the technical expert responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, selecting state-of-the-art machinery, and leading equipment innovation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the installation of new equipment, collaborating with vendors, and training our team members to maintain optimal production standards. You will partner closely with Engineering peers, Production, Safety, Culinary, and Construction to accomplish your goals.

You will …

  • Identify and implement equipment improvements to increase efficiency and performance in the areas of safety, quality, food quality, capacity, cost.
  • Develop preferred methods/standard operating procedures in conjunction with operational support.
  • Assist with the equipment selection process, comprehend equipment specifications, and design requirements, including impacts to new facilities, facility retrofits, and other material handling equipment changes.
  • Manage processes, projects, and systems in an effort to achieve unit goals in accordance with company policies and practices.
  • Create an effective work environment by setting clear objectives, successfully integrating with teams, and maintaining open communications.

You are…

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional attitude, and approach, and have the ability to interact with individuals at various levels of the organization. 
  • Technically proficient in equipment capabilities, standards, performance improvement, and statistics.
  • Able to analyze and provide solutions for equipment and process improvements.
  • Experienced in developing preferred methods/Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Proficient in utilizing labor data to cost justify capital expenditure and process change ROI.
  • A superior project manager and able to meet concurrent project deadlines.
You have… 
  • BS Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field required.
  • 4-6 Food manufacturing experience as well as knowledge of FDA/USDA standards desired. 
  • 4-6 years of experience investigating, analyzing, justifying, and selecting equipment to assist the company in making the correct decision to improve costs and efficiencies.
  • 4-6 years of engineering, and project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience desired.
  • 2-3 years SCADA and Ignition experience.
