We are seeking a strategic, results-driven, and detail-oriented marketer with a demand generation background to join our Strategic Marketing team as a Marketing Manager for the US Public Sector. This role will be responsible for planning and executing integrated marketing strategies targeting government end-users across the SLED and Federal Civilian markets. This person will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders from various teams including product marketing, partner marketing, corporate communications, brand, plus many others on campaigns that support the US Public Sector sales teams. Key responsibilities include amplifying MongoDB’s awareness and adoption within the US Public Sector by planning, organizing, and executing end to end campaigns that source new leads, advance existing opportunities, and create new workloads across our top strategic and growth accounts.

This role supports the Public Sector sales teams, located at our Tysons Corner location and will directly report into the Public Sector marketing leader within the Strategic Marketing organization. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Atlanta or the DC metro area for our hybrid working model.

Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience with end-to-end campaign planning and execution experience in a technology company with a proven track record of demand generation under your belt
  • Experience in both Public Sector and Field Marketing are strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are required as writing and editing industry content is a component of this role
  • Highly results-driven with strong analytical, project management, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally with sales and various marketing teams, and influence those whose input is critical to the success of industry plans
  • Proficiency with Google Suite for Business
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation and data systems (examples: Salesforce, Eloqua, Tableau, and Marketo)
  • An understanding of search engine optimization best practices preferred but not required
  • Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Good humor and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to travel to domestic markets (up to 30% of time)
Areas of focus will include: 

Own the Industry Narrative

  • Edit existing content to ensure voice, grammar and style is on point and relates to the Public Sector audience
  • Stay up to date on industry and technology trends to identify gaps in content, recommend new topics, and assess appropriate campaigns
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to build industry content and ensure consistency in messaging, branding and style
  • Monitor content performance metrics to better understand what is resonating with our target audience

Be a Staple Partner to Sales

  • Closely integrate with industry Account Executives, supporting the needs of their top accounts and executing regional marketing campaigns
  • Develop end-to-end scalable marketing programs across the various Public Sector verticals to drive top of funnel awareness and bottom of funnel conversions
  • Communicate and educate the sales teams regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional, local, and other related industry programs
  • Work closely with the ADR team to ensure rigorous follow-up of all marketing leads across your sales teams
  • Share campaign performance data with sales to empower their pipeline generating efforts

Increase Industry Adoption Cross-functionally

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams when creating new and updating existing materials, presentations, and/or preparing for marketing activations. You should be able to #makeitmatter, an ability to move with speed and inspire others to do the same.
  • Work with the events team to coordinate both MongoDB big rock programs and identify key industry trade shows that will move the needle across our most strategic accounts
  • Work in collaboration with all key cross-functional stakeholders to create and execute a lead generation plan that delivers significant inbound, qualified leads and pipeline growth for top strategic accounts
  • Partner with peers from other industries and identify cross-industry campaign initiatives to expand adoption and awareness in niche markets

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$70,000—$138,000 USD
