Material Operations Intern (Fall 2025)

As a Material Operations Intern, you'll dive into exciting projects focused on making our materials supply chain more efficient, cost-effective, and reliable. You’ll get hands-on experience improving critical processes, working with various teams, and exploring innovative solutions that directly impact Formlabs' operations and bottom line.
Internship Term: Fall 2025 (September 8 to December 19, 2025)Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)Location: Onsite in Somerville, MA (in-person)
The Job:
- Support initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs in materials operations
- Help manage inventory effectively by balancing availability and minimizing waste
- Collaborate closely with teams across R&D, logistics, and manufacturing
- Document and communicate your findings and recommendations clearly to company leadership
You:
- Have a background in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Have strong skills in project management, task tracking, and documentation
- Are proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, including Pivot tables and PowerQuery
- Possess strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Experience with Python, Tableau, or SQL
- Previous experience in materials operations
