Member Of Technical Staff - Drive Qual
We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE Join the NAND & Drive Qualification team to play a pivotal role in validating Pure Storage's industry-leading Direct Flash Modules (DFM)—our internally developed, high-performance NAND flash storage devices. Your mission is to ensure these modules meet the highest standards of quality and scalability by leading the qualification process from early design through product release. You will drive progress through expert test execution, root cause analysis, and architectural improvements to our highly automated test environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Lead and execute drive qualifications by developing and running advanced validation test suites and tools tailored for enterprise-class SSDs.
-
Engineer critical feature tests for SSD/NAND and enhance existing regression suites to ensure consistent firmware stability across all development milestones.
-
Proactively architect software tools for hardware and media feature validation, enabling the team to diagnose complex field issues and accelerate firmware maturation.
-
Drive operational efficiency by brainstorming and implementing new procedures that evolve our drive and system-level demonstration capabilities.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot complex failure modes, providing technical assessments of test results that guide product expectations and final release readiness.
WHAT YOU BRING
-
Expertise in validation software development with a proven ability to debug complex interactions between software and hardware components.
-
In-depth knowledge of PCIe/NVMe protocols and Firmware Architecture/Design specifically within the Solid State Drive (SSD) or enterprise storage domain.
-
Proficiency with industry-standard validation tools such as Lecroy, Drive Master, or OakGate to identify and resolve critical failure modes.
-
Technical mastery of hardware design and storage architectures, including the ability to independently devise, automate, and refine qualification methods for flash-based devices.
-
Analytical mindset comfortable working with complex data models to assess performance metrics and drive root-cause analysis in a lab environment.
-
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
