TL;DR: You will be designing templates that enable everyone to create high-quality videos in a matter of minutes. You’ll curate and create illustrations, stickers and other assets, and leverage animations, transitions, music and sound effects that will pair with AI and help invent the video formats of the future.

That's how early we are – but enough about us now. As a Mid/Snr Visual Designer at Synthesia, you’ll design and curate the templates that help unlock AI video for our users.

In this role you will:

• Partner with our Product team to design and curate the templates that power the future of synthetic media and video creation.
• Create, design and source content such as illustrations, stickers, music and sound effects for Studio’s video creation templates.
• Own, curate, and design how template content works within Studio.
• Deliver highly-polished visual assets that enable our users to communicate effectively with the content they create in Studio.
• Push the boundaries of what is possible within Studio and help unlock new cases for our platform.
• Leverage feedback from our users & customers to ensure our product continues to meet their needs.
• Play a key role in a high-visible area in a team that aspires to build one of the best-designed SaaS tools out there.
• Work with a team that ships fast and iterates quickly.
• Solve one of our most important UX problems and shape the future of synthetic media - from the initial idea stage to the final execution.

You should apply if you bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in designing SaaS web apps or B2C products.
• Proven track record and examples of creating beautiful, cohesive and meaningful designs and interfaces for digital products with strong attention to detail across typography, iconography, colour, and composition.
• Strong product opinions and visual design taste. We look for designers who will not shy away from proposing solutions based on your intuition and experience.
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and articulate design decisions.
• Ability to take ownership of the design process and work as a self-directed member of the development team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Designers who bring the following will stand out:

• Interactive prototyping skills.
• Experience with high-end presentation designs.
• Video, motion, animation, or 3D experience.
• Ability to create and develop high quality elements for our platform (icons, stickers, illustrations).
• Knowledge of templating and design systems.
