The role

The National Field Sales Manager at Youfoodz is responsible for achieving sales revenue targets in all channels except Major Grocery stores. These channels include Petrol and Convenience stores, Independent Grocery stores, Health Food stores, and non-traditional retail channels.

The Field Sales Manager role primarily involves maintaining and expanding business with existing customers, and the team are expected to proactively identify and secure new business opportunities

You will…

  • Achieve revenue, margin and contribution targets for the country.
  • Build a winning culture within your field sales team across Australia.
  • Ensure field sales teams are maximising customer facing time through achievement of routes.
  • Build sales capability and structured call excellence with field sales including the development of best-in-class selling process and sales materials.
  • Ensure execution of the commercial calendar and national account priorities with field sales.
  • Manage performance gaps within your team, as they arise.
  • Achieve monthly key metrics for Field Sales including (but not limited to) distribution/NPD and in-store visibility metrics.
  • Contribute to the overall retail strategy and cascade to develop the National Field Sales Strategy for the Retail Channel.
  • Maintain disciplined meetings with teams and people processes that reviews sales and key metric performance.
  • Support new business opportunities of scale in Vending and Distribution channels (ex those relating to P&C).
  • Management of Specialty Retail groups of scale as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of all work including Sales Leadership team, Marketing and LOGS.
  • Drive brand & culture consistency across all touch points.
  • Analysis of results and insights to improve overall strategy for field sales.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
  • Always challenge the status quo & innovate.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required or directed.

You have…

  • A tertiary qualification in business, marketing or a similar field is preferred.
  • Current AU drivers’ license.
  • 8 years’ experience in FMCG sales leadership / account management and/or business development.
  • Experience in managing large, national field teams.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commercial acumen.

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

Location: Melbourne, Victoria | Sydney, New South Wales | Brisbane, Queensland

Travel requirements: Travel across Australia to maintain and expand business with existing customers, identify and secure new business opportunities and develop and manage teams across the country.
