MongoDB is seeking an experienced ERP Engineer with specialized knowledge and experience in Adaptive Insights to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our NetSuite platform, as well as implementing and maintaining Adaptive Insights for financial planning and analysis. The proficiency in both platforms will play a crucial role in driving efficient and effective financial processes across the organization.

This role will have high visibility into multiple parts of the organization, including but not limited to Finance, Sales, Professional Services, and Data Warehousing.

The right candidate will have:

  • Functional experience with financial processes in NetSuite as an Administrator
  • Lead the implementation and setup of Adaptive Insights for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting purposes
  • Customize Adaptive Insights to align with the organization's financial structure, reporting requirements, and business processes
  • Maintain and optimize Adaptive Insights models, templates, and dashboards to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Establish integrations between NetSuite and Adaptive Insights to enable seamless data flow and synchronization
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by reconciling data between NetSuite and Adaptive Insights and resolving any discrepancies
  • Good understanding of accounting processes and comfortable discussing related functionalities and system impact with stakeholders 
  • Excellent investigation and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to build sound relationships and clearly communicate expectations with team members and stakeholders
  • Growth mindset and excited about learning new things
  • System Savvy – ability to find your way around the system NATURALLY
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and skills - Coupa, Concur
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work creatively in problem solving
  • Data management preferred (SQL, XML, JSON)
  • Web services preferred (REST, SOAP)
  • Experience in HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, SuiteScript 1.0 and SuiteScript 2.0

Position Responsibilities

  • Strong expertise in implementing and managing Adaptive Insights for financial planning and analysis and its integration with NetSuite
  • Design, implement and solve quality and scalable solutions using Netsuite’s native functionality, workflows, and Suitebuilder
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and grow your technical and functional expertise in NetSuite and auxiliary SaaS systems
  • Drive, train and support end users on processes or projects to enhance the existing systems or implement new ones
  • Support other administrators by performing technical and administrative tasks
  • Support unit testing and user acceptance testing for new version releases and projects
  • Support internal and external audit by providing requested data
  • Ensure system and SOX compliance with Company policies, procedures, and protocols for system standards, customizations, and changes

Success Measures

The ERP Engineer will be successful in this role when they can execute the following tasks:

In the first 30 days:

  • You will communicate with stakeholders, such as tax professionals, external consultants, and internal teams, to discuss upcoming projects, challenges, and opportunities related to tax management 
  • Get acquainted with Adaptive system configurations and settings
  • Collaborate with other administrators or team members to share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and support each other in managing the NetSuite platform effectively
  • Provide support, guidance and educate end-users, such as finance and accounting teams, on how to use Adaptive Insights functionalities effectively

In the first 60 days:

  • Engage with key stakeholders, such as finance, accounting, and tax teams, to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for collaboration and synergy
  • Address any outstanding issues or support tickets related to planning configurations, calculations, or reporting that have arisen since day 30
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement or optimization within the planning system configuration and related workflows
  • Generate reports or analytics to track key performance indicators related to planning, compliance, accuracy, and system utilization for management

In the first 90 days:

  • Participate in strategic planning discussions to align with FPA initiatives with organizational goals and objectives
  • Maintain proficiency and demonstrate track record of effectively managing Adaptive Insights and contributing to MongoDB’s overall success
  • Continue to identify opportunities for process improvement or optimization within Adaptive Insights from system configuration to related workflows and reports
  • Update documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and training materials, to reflect any changes or enhancements made to the planning system since day 60

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$101,000—$198,000 USD
