Network Administrator
Role description:
Support complex networking setup which includes cross region AWS setup, on premise Juniper and Fortigate devices, AWS regions, multiple office locations, client and site-to-site VPNs and office networks.
What you’ll do:
- Configure and manage inter-region connectivity using AWS networking services, including regions, availability zones, VPC peering, and transit gateways
- Implement and manage Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN solutions to facilitate secure communication between regions and on-premises infrastructure
- Utilise dynamic routing protocols to optimise traffic flow and network resilience in multi-region environments
- Develop and implement network monitoring and management strategies to ensure visibility and control across all regions
- Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for multi-region networking setup, ensuring compliance with security and performance requirements
You’ll be great for this role if you have:
- Extensive experience with AWS networking services, including multi-region setup, regions, availability zones, VPCs, and subnets
- Hands-on experience with major network and security equipment vendors such as Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco Meraki
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs for multi-region connectivity
- Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- Experience with network troubleshooting and analysis tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark
- Familiarity with network management technologies such as SNMP, SYSLOG, and NetFlow
- Great communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with Kubernetes networking, including container networking principles and best practices
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with zero trust networking principles and implementation strategies.
- Knowledge of Cloudflare services and their integration with cloud networking architectures.
- Proficiency in using Version Control Systems (VCS) such as GitHub for managing infrastructure as code and collaborative development.
