About the Team:

You will be working on the Network Services team which is part of the Enterprise Platforms Group which includes network engineering, Systems Engineering, Endpoint Systems, Enterprise Cloud, Enterprise Tools and Automation. From development to design, the group is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the global production network.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, document and enforce industry and company standards and best practices.
  • Document changes, processes and procedures with an eye on accuracy and detail while creating repeatable processes that can be read and executed by other administrators and engineers. 
  • Partner with neighboring teams in designing, testing, deploying and operating highly scalable network infrastructure in collocated, on premises, managed service provider and cloud data centers.
  • Perform network and system performance analysis and tuning optimizations.
  • Working in “on-call” rotation in following the sun model

Basic qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, including Network administration, Unix/Windows systems administration with scripting skills in Shell, PHP, Perl, Python or Power-Shell.
  • Experience in LAN/WAN networking including routing, switching and firewalls
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv6, Multicast, VRRP, HSRP, DHCP, RADIUS, SNMP, STP, VPN, VLAN, VPC, BGP
  • Hands on experience building network infrastructure from installation and configuration through release and on-going support.
  • Technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
  • Network Certifications (e.g. CCNA,Palo Alto, Aruba Wireless etc.)
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking and automation.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams in 99.99 percent uptime SAAS environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
  • Excellent communication skills
