Operational Excellence Project Manager

We are looking for a Opex Project Manager for our ambitious, fast growing team in Bleiswijk. Working in the Operational Excellence team you take a leading role in improving our operations.
As an Operational Excellence Engineer you are responsible for identifying improvements within Production (end to end). You have a key role in bringing our current operations to another level (lower cost, better productivity and quality) and support the implementation of the operational culture and roadmap.
Therefore, you constantly and proactively highlight the loss of productivity, cost, quality, or risk to safety and you propose solutions based on thorough analysis of cause and effect. You help the teams conducting root cause analysis when reoccurring issues, and you help them implement the long term solutions. You have a key role in bringing our current operations to another level (lower cost, better productivity and quality) and support the implementation of the operational excellence culture and roadmap.

- Continuously challenge HelloFresh processes, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency by identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring their implementation with the relevant teams.
- You are one of the local owners of our operational process, which includes operational systems, process design and improvements
- Diagnose processes, identify bottlenecks and collaborate with different stakeholders to improve the flow of our value chain, improve quality and reduce waste & cost.
- Implementation of lean tools and methods to increase efficiency, throughput and operational excellence
- Identify and deliver projects to increase efficiency, improve quality, safety, reduce waste & cost.
- Define improvement projects aligned with business strategies and priorities, devise and test solutions and roll out new ways of working
- Facilitate and coach improvement teams, establish and maintain performance metrics to track program success.
- Implement standard work process/procedures, visual factory and error proofing mechanisms.
- Support the local teams in problem solving and continuous improvement projects / initiatives.
- Facilitate and guide project teams in identifying the root cause of incidents that disrupt our daily operations, by using problem-solving techniques.
- Implementation and conduction of the structured approach to process improvement (DMAIC, 5Why’s, Cause & Effect diagrams, availability reduction techniques) as well as tracking and reporting processes.
- Follow-up on projects in order to monitor the progress of planned improvements and to assure timely action, appropriate OpEx support, and achievement of the expected benefits.
- Support the transformation roadmap to an operationally excellent culture in the DC defined by your Team Lead. Act a one of the change agent within HelloFresh
- Resolve the most complex novel problems which naturally occur in a rapid growth environment.
🍉 These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Production or Logistic
- Excellent analytic skills and hands on approach
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced high volume manufacturing environment.
- Clear experience of continuous improvement in high volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience and understanding of launching new processes.
- Confident in coaching continuous improvement tools and systems.
- Knowledge of SOP creation, implementation and adherence.
- Have knowledge in the principles and methodologies of World Class Manufacturing, Shingo and Toyota Production Systems. Preferably trained and experienced in use of Lean Six Sigma tools
- Confident in coaching continuous improvement tools and systems.
- Demonstrable leadership skills, able to influence and motivate others from the shop floor to the Senior Management Team.
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
- Strong commercial and analytical skills. You’re always focused on getting the best deal for HelloFresh.
