People Operations Partner - maternity cover

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage our US People Operations locally from New York. As a member of the global People Ops team, you will play a key role in shaping an excellent HR presence, both in compliance with labour-law regulations and fully aligned with our global principles.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll doManaging full end-to-end People operations for our employees based in the United States, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and contributing to International People initiatives where needed.
Acting as the primary liaison with our PEO partner, ensuring employee and compliance needs are met, driving continuous improvement in service delivery and proactively addressing any issues as they arise.
Providing comprehensive SME consultation and support to globally distributed People teams and business leaders on areas of employee relations, total rewards, global mobility, leave management, and other HR-related areas, ensuring stakeholders are set up for success and aligned with local and best practices.
Ensuring global people policies and processes are aligned with the United States local practice, including adherence to state-specific employment laws, and building new ones where required.
Operating with full ownership of supporting employee requests throughout our ticketing system, excelling in service delivery, while also supporting the wider People Operations team in other regions as needed.
Ensuring HRIS data between systems is kept to a high standard with seamless integration to ensure internal stakeholders have access to accurate and timely information.
Maintaining compliance, timely reporting for state and federal requirements, and staying up to date on new regulations.
Minimum 5 years of US-based HR operations experience, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, compliance, policy creation, leave management, employee relations, and basic payroll knowledge, particularly in New York and ideally California and Washington.
Strong hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and working in a globally distributed team. You’ll be proactive, self-driven, and able to manage daily operations independently, with excellent communication skills to build trust and strong relationships.
Comfortable under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities, and skilled in upholding policies and handling complex situations.
Enthusiastic about empowering team members, sharing knowledge, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
