Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person. 

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

Bringing energy conscious creative and campaigns to life, optimising audiences and ensuring new customers understand the positive environmental impact of choosing OVO as their energy supplier.

 

This role in a nutshell:

Working with Senior Performance Marketing Managers within OVO’s Direct to Consumer team to think creatively and strategically to deliver performance activity that achieves set targets, delivering growth within the OVO target audience across key performance marketing channels.

 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Work with Senior Performance Marketing Managers to drive qualified traffic growth achieving target return on ad spend (ROAS) and cost-per-acquisition (CPA); through campaign execution and conversion improvement. Areas of focus include paid search, paid social and affiliates.
  • Deliver actionable insights and strategic direction to agency partners through analysis of keyword performance, competitor landscape, and audience segmentation data
  • Optimise campaign performance by collaborating with agency teams to test and iterate on ad copy, audience targeting, and creative assets that align with team objectives
  • Bring conversion rate optimisation tests to life on assigned performance landing pages, understanding the success/failure metrics and executing a continuous test and learn approach
  • Ensure efficient budget allocation and pacing across channels by monitoring spend distribution, bid strategy effectiveness, and campaign performance against KPIs
  • Support the wider team with POs and invoicing, helping to ensure the business is held accountable for spend within budget
  • Facilitate collaboration between agency and internal creative teams to produce high-performing ad creatives that meet brand standards and performance benchmarks
  • Maintain competitive advantage by staying informed on platform updates, new advertising opportunities, and industry trends to help guide strategy and execution
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across OVO functions, and with agency partners

 

You’ll be a successful Performance Marketing Manager at OVO if you…

  • Are customer obsessed
  • Have experience running campaigns across the performance marketing mix; including paid search and social through native platforms, as well as affiliate marketing.
  • Are able to analyse performance insights and optimise campaigns accordingly; MixPanel and GA4 experience a bonus
  • Are a motivated individual who is a self starter
  • Can take complex problems and break them down to solve them
  • Have experience with brief writing, campaign planning
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace
  • Are an excellent communicator and are confident sharing your opinion to wider stakeholders

We’ll pay you between £42,000 and £57,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
