As the Principal Product Manager for our Product Recommendations and Personalization domain, you will play a key role in defining and executing and driving strategies that enable personalized customer experiences across all HelloFresh brands and markets. This role demands a leader who can navigate ambiguous and complex opportunity domains, independently setting new directions that align with our long-term vision. Working closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, data engineers, backend engineers, analysts and commercial partners, you will deliver innovative and impactful solutions that create value for both our customers and the business.

You will be responsible for developing a roadmap that prioritizes impactful, data-driven investments, delivering new products and capabilities with significant business impact. Engaging across multiple squads, tribes and alliances, you will mobilize stakeholders, including senior leaders, to align on solutions that enhance our personalization efforts and drive meaningful customer engagement.

In this role, you’ll lead the data strategy for your domain, employing robust analytical methods to validate opportunities and refine strategies. Your deep technical expertise will allow you to anticipate challenges and collaborate effectively with engineering and data teams to bring innovative solutions to life.

• Define and Drive Vision: Articulate and champion a long-term vision for personalized customer experiences, becoming the hands-on expert for personalization within HelloFresh.
• Lead Strategic Initiatives: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Personalization squad, focusing on creating data-driven, scalable solutions that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
• Foster Innovation in Personalization: Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and UX teams to design and implement algorithms, APIs, and services that deliver personalized content, recommendations, and shopping experiences across our platforms.
• Prioritize and Roadmap: Apply product management practices to identify and prioritize opportunities, creating a robust 1-3 year roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and senior business stakeholders across multiple tribes and alliances to gather requirements, communicate product roadmaps, and secure alignment on strategic initiatives.
• Simplify Complexity: Utilize a data-driven approach, leveraging logical frameworks and appropriate structuring techniques to simplify complex, multifaceted problems, delivering impactful solutions that drive major business outcomes.

• Personalization Expertise: Experience in developing and managing personalization strategies, ideally within e-commerce or similar industries. Proven track record of delivering product recommendations and personalized user experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
• Collaboration with Data Science & Machine Learning: Demonstrated success in working closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analytics teams to develop and implement algorithms, models, and scalable personalization features from concept to testing and launch.
• Strategic Problem-Solving: Strong ability to navigate ambiguous opportunity areas, independently crafting and iterating on strategies that deliver impactful solutions without predefined roadmaps.
• Data-Driven Leadership & Decision-Making: A commitment to a data-centric approach, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to validate and prioritize opportunities. Proven ability to lead by example, making decisions grounded in deep data analysis and insights.
• Effective Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Experience in driving cross-functional teams towards common goals, particularly in complex and multi-disciplinary environments.
