We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.

This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.

THE ROLE

Join the Cybertron team within the Digital Experience (DX) business unit and be a foundational part of delivering the next generation of intelligent, cloud-native fleet management solutions for our customers. Your mission is to build and operate our large-scale data lakehouse, a centralized platform hosting comprehensive product telemetry and usage data. This role is unique because you won't just support traditional BI; you will directly enable critical, high-value outcomes across the entire organization, from product management and observability to business operations and customer-facing BI access. You will work closely with Product and Architecture teams to ensure this mission-critical data platform transforms raw data into reliable, high-value insights for both internal stakeholders and our global customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the end-to-end data lifecycle: Architect, develop, and operate mission-critical data processing services, ensuring seamless, secure, and compliant data flow from edge devices to the Pure1 cloud platform.
  • Drive Architectural Strategy: Partner directly with Product and Architecture teams to translate complex data ingestion and consumption requirements into scalable, resilient architectural designs, driving significant organizational impact from concept through to production.
  • Maximize System Performance and Cost: Drive continuous innovation by experimenting with new data platform technologies and architectural patterns to improve system performance, security, and cost-effectiveness for petabytes of real-time data.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Reliability: Maintain a quality-first mindset throughout the entire software development lifecycle, emphasizing comprehensive unit testing, thorough code reviews, and robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Lead Complex Issue Resolution: Lead the resolution of complex data and inter-operability issues between new and existing system components, ensuring the data platform remains highly available and universally accessible for users across the globe.
  • Shape the Product Vision: Contribute to the strategic vision of the data lakehouse, specifically focusing on its application for product telemetry, usage insights, and core business operations.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of 7+ years of related professional experience in architecting, implementing, and testing various product components within large-scale, complex distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in a modern backend programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java), with a proven ability to write secure, high-performance, and maintainable code.
  • Deep foundational understanding of distributed systems principles, data warehouse and data lakehouse concepts, networking infrastructure, and Linux operating environments.
  • Exceptional knowledge of database internals (e.g., storage engines, indexing, query optimization, ACID properties, transaction processing) due to the service's nature of behaving like and integrating with other high-performance database systems.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and proficiency with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • A proven track record of thriving in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment, with a passion for continuous learning and quickly mastering new technologies.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czechia office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave
