CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is an exciting, fast-growing digital freight forwarding start-up within Wayfair, moving containers globally to Wayfair’s shelves and beyond. We offer a full suite of shipping services—including Asia consolidation, ocean freight, haulage, customs brokerage, and cargo insurance—providing Wayfair suppliers with competitive and efficient logistics solutions. Our proprietary end-to-end logistics network enhances speed, quality, and cost efficiency.

As a Procurement Business Partner - Logistics you will have a varied role, leading a team responsible for optimizing inbound freight operations and procurement strategy. You will oversee carrier relationships, negotiate contracts, improve operational efficiencies, and drive cost savings while ensuring high service levels. 

What you will do: 

Lead a team of dedicated logistics and procurement professionals, whilst owning the operational and financial performance for end to end EU Logistics. With an approach embedded in ensuring improved efficiencies, costs and exemplary service, you will develop strategies and initiatives to drive operational success.  

Own & Oversee the end to end procurement process, defining and executing carrier strategies and developing long-term trusted relationships with a focus on staying ahead of market trends, driving continuous improvements and innovative logistics solutions for inbound freight. 

Work closely with our Technology and Business Intelligence teams you’ll leverage data, automate processes and utilise robust reporting tools to allow you to standardise processes, streamline workflows, and where necessary make quick changes to ensure that we retain our competitive position. 

What you’ll need: 

  • Demonstrable experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or operations management, with a track record of driving results.
  • Experience managing, developing and coaching a high performing team.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with expertise in contract negotiations and rate benchmarking.
  • Proven analytical and data-driven skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies (SQL/GBQ knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a structured approach to tackling operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, drayage, or ocean carrier management is a plus.
  • Fluency in an additional language is advantageous but not essential.
