Procurement Operations Specialist

This is a hands-on position with the unique opportunity to support and contribute to the development of the Databricks Procurement function and drive spend under management across the organization. You will support the Procurement function with a specific focus on Vendor Management. The role will research, select and support processes and systems for vendor engagement, metrics tracking and reporting, purchase requisitions and contract management.
The impact you will have:
- Own and lead the Global Vendor Management program within the broader Procurement process
- Standup vendor metric tracking across systems and maintain vendor specific KPIs (cycle time, risk, performance, compliance, etc.)
- Support key stakeholders Sourcing, Accounts Payable, and Treasury to enable seamless vendor transactions
- Own vendor Banking Validation process
- Collaborate with Procurement Operations team to maintain the procurement internal website and training materials for Vendor Management
- Evaluate and optimize vendor management program with specific focus on efficiency and automation
What we look for:
- 2+ years in a procurement operations role - focus on Vendor Management a plus.
- Able to work independently within a collaborative, distributed team environment.
- Experience training and coaching internal and external stakeholders on procurement processes
- Effective problem solving, planning, and project management skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Highly organized multi-tasker who can prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Process and customer service driven with a self-starter mentality.
- Experience with procure-to-pay systems (Coupa, ZIP, Netsuite, Ironclad).
