This role is a high-impact, key position that will challenge you to work at a quick pace and tackle a wide variety of topics and opportunities on a global scale. You will use your strategic thinking and original mindset, as well as immense drive, to help strategise and innovate within the Consumer Tribe, which is responsible for building and growing SumUp Pay and closing the loop between consumers and merchants while collaborating with the rest of the organisation.
What you’ll do
- Line manage and coach a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of Senior Product Managers, Product Designers, and Operations specialists. You will conduct regular 1:1s, set clear goals, and execute career development plans to foster a culture of excellence and improve team capability.
- Translate high-level strategy into actionable product initiatives and drive roadmap execution across a diverse portfolio of consumer products, from loyalty solutions to digital banking services. You will build and own the mid-term roadmap for these areas.
- Ruthlessly prioritise and balance the needs of multiple teams and stakeholders to drive impact. While providing strategic guidance across the portfolio, you will directly lead one product squad with hands-on product management responsibilities to deliver key foundational features and innovative new services.
- Champion operational excellence by scaling product delivery processes to handle rapid growth, reduce bottlenecks, and improve time-to-market for key initiatives.
- Serve as a passionate advocate for the consumer mission, successfully representing the team and its strategy in global product forums and leadership meetings. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team, including engineering, design, marketing, compliance, and other key stakeholders.
You’ll be great for this position if
- You have extensive Product Management experience, including a proven track record in a leadership capacity within a global, fast-paced scale-up environment.
- Your experience is rooted in building and scaling consumer-facing digital products.
- You are an experienced and mature people leader, skilled in managing and coaching senior, multidisciplinary teams to achieve their best work.
- You possess a strong business sense and are adept at using data and customer insights to find opportunities, create value, and drive towards product-market fit.
- You have a track record of managing highly effective, agile teams with a strong focus on delivery and are skilled at ruthlessly prioritising in a complex environment.
- You are a self-assured communicator and a feedback champion, with expertise in achieving success and buy-in through influence and strong stakeholder management.
- You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional European languages are a plus.
