The Central Market Management (CMM) team sits within the broader Marketplace organization and is critical to enabling pricing, experimentation, and core decision-systems. We manage the Marketplace through foundational models, business datasets, and decision applications that serve a wide range of teams across Lyft. These platforms and tools are crucial for competing in the Rideshare landscape and power our pricing logic, operational alignment, and regional decisions.

We are looking to add a Program Manager to CMM who brings structure to a complex marketplace, unblocks teams, and empowers our engineers and scientists to stay focused on building impactful products. This person will be responsible for large workstreams that involve cross-functional coordination, stakeholder alignment, vendor management, and increasing program velocity. The ideal candidate has prior experience working with engineers, scientists, external vendors and business data owners. They are technical enough to understand data pipelines and data contracts. This role serves as the trusted connector for large collaborative efforts across product, engineering, science, operations, finance and legal.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the end-to-end program lifecycle for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives involving data pipelines and scientific models, acting as the central champion aligning internal teams, external partners, and third-party data vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships and communication at all levels of the organization; assist in the optimization of resource allocation
  • Improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes and programs
  • Proactively work to remove obstacles and enable forward momentum and progress 
  • Manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities 
  • Maintain the institutional memory of the organization by creating a shared knowledge portal and repository of best practices 
  • Develop and own project methodology and governance standards and procedures, that can be adopted or leveraged by other teams. 
Experience:
  • Proven experience managing large-scale technical programs with a strong understanding of the data lifecycle, including data pipelines, data warehousing, and the operationalization of production-level scientific or machine learning models.
  • Experience working in a Marketplace Organization leadership team
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and work across multiple functions and teams; Demonstrate initiative, persistence, ability to problem solve, and enthusiasm for learning new skills
  • Hands-on experience managing initiatives from start to finish; Achieves project goals while managing scope, time, quality and risk. Learns from failures as well as successes 
  • Prior experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, internal customers, and third-part vendors
  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items; Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions 
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, self-starter and a great communicator 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week, including on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $84,000-$105,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
