Role: Programme Director

Location: Madrid, Spain (Office presence expected at minimum 3 days per week)

 

The Programme Director, reporting to the Global Programme Director, is responsible for all daily operations and strategy on the account, across technology, process, data and training. Ensuring that these are set at a Global level and rolled out across the various studio hubs worldwide. This position collaborates closely with the Group Account Director, supported by Account Directors and Senior Project Managers. 

A Little Bit About the Role   Join OLIVER Agency in a key leadership position, where you'll shape the excellence of our global in-house studio operations for a beauty client. As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll guide a diverse and talented group to deliver outstanding outputs, driven by clear goals and KPIs. You'll ensure that our production process is set up for success with teams across Central, East and West timezones servicing a European client, powered by cutting-edge technology and AI solutions to enhance efficiency. Your leadership will foster strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparency and excellence in all aspects of our work. 

Position Overview 

As the Programme Director, you will lead strategic and operational initiatives for our clients, manage relationships, and drive high-quality service delivery and business growth. 

What you will be doing:
  • Program Management: Lead and execute the implementation of various operational initiatives, such as setting up and rolling out new optimised processes. Develop frameworks and utilise the business’ best practices for optimal outcomes, all whilst ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. Support both your internal teams, as well as clients, troubleshoot any ad hoc operational challenges.
  • Technical Program Management: Lead and execute the implementation of technology and tools required on the account, inclusive of automation and AI, working closely with Tech subject matter experts within the business. Be the key link between our internal Tech Development Team and the client’s tech team, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Client Relationship Management:  Serve as the primary operations contact for regional/area stakeholders, fostering relationships built on strong communication and trust, and ensuring satisfaction by adhering to efficiency and quality expectations. 
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop strategic workflow plans, identify opportunities for process improvement, and collaborate with internal teams to align with client goals.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor a diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
  • Financial Management: Oversee operational budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and meeting profitability targets, alongside the Group Account Director.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality in program deliverables, implementing processes for continuous improvement.
  • Escalation point-of-contact: Serve as the central point for escalating and efficiently resolving issues, managing stakeholder relationships, and documenting incidents to ensure seamless program operations
  • Data accuracy: Ensure data accuracy and reliability through robust verification and quality assurance processes, establishing data standards, and foster a culture of high data integrity for informed decision-making. 
What you need to be great in this role:
  • eCommerce and Beauty fanatic, passion for driving professional & science driven content that performs. Experience working with beauty and Dermatological products. 
  • Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with a developed financial and commercial acumen, creative judgment, strategic thinking, talent management and business growth 
  • A proven track record in implementing complex programmes with multiple layers of technologies. 
  • First-rate communications skills, with the ability to be articulate in person and in writing and strong presentation skills with an innate rapport build 
  • The ability to manage and develop junior team members. 
  • A clear understanding of all IIG group products and how to utilise this knowledge to the accounts advantage.  
  • Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service. 
  • Tech and Data driven with a proven background in client reporting & building business cases for account transformation.  
  • Proficient in Adobe WF (or similar), Microsoft Office, and other related software.  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communication, decision-making, and collaboration.
  • Over 5 years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish & English is required as we are a global business. 
  • Experience in automation and GEN AI tools.  
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A desire to explore new technologies and continuously learn.
  • Ability to embrace change and adapt to new tools and processes.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on efficiency and creativity.
  • Proven skills in managing and strengthening client relationships. 

Goals for the first six months 

  • Support in and help to finalise the implementation including:  
  • Ensure the internal WOW is finalised and the team are trained including 
  • All roles and responsibilities are clear 
  • Ensure briefing workstreams are clear 
  • Complete a health assessment of all markets and create a plan to improve any scores below 3 
  • Accurate use of tools i.e. are they using BOX 
  • Analyse and review the current use of the OLIVER Marketing Campaign Tool (OMG) in each market to identify any process errors, and then develop a plan to monitor and correct these issues effectively
  • Review reporting dashboard (ZOHO) and understand the changes that need to be implemented to create accurate reporting 
  • Create a skillset matrix/ bio document (unless it feeds into internal WOW doc) to highlight all capabilities globally 
  • Deep dive into ALL documents; consolidate into one place, then strip back into a handful of handy documents for all teams to use 
  • Align with all team/market leads to ensure the clients using OMG to brief know that they won’t need to log in anymore.
