Why We Have This Role Qualtrics is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to join our growing Engineering function in our Mexico City office. How You’ll Grow

Our Quality Engineering organization’s mission is to build a quality culture championing a delightful customer experience while enabling teams to efficiently bring high quality software to all markets. We do this by engaging early to ensure customer use cases are tested AND fully automated.  We also automate the release process to save human effort, reduce mistakes, and speed overall delivery. Our environment uses primarily Selenium, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Jira, TestRail, Python, Jenkins, Nomad and Docker. How You’ll Find Success
  • Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement
  • Show strong business and technical discernment that will accelerate time to market of releases, while incrementally moving our services towards the long term vision
  • Raise the bar on technical perfection, show thought leadership, and communicate well to different audiences
Things You’ll Do 
  • Be responsible for mentoring and developing engineers
  • Lead the end to end ownership of a Quality Engineering (QA) team, including setting the technical vision for developing test frameworks and automation for our systems
  • Build and lead SDETs and STEs that are responsible for developing and maintaining software for testing our product

  • Analytical skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program work
  • Presentation and written interpersonal skills are important, as is the ability to build partnerships across distributed offices
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or related
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant testing experience
  • 2+ years professional coding experience in a programming language like C#, or C++, knowledge of Java, JavaScript or Python preferred.
  • 1+ years professional experience building test automation frameworks and tools from scratch
  • Proficiency with a broad range of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns; knowing when it's appropriate to use them (and when it is not).
  • Experience in testing high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems
