The Regional Sales Director at Xometry Europe is a key leadership role responsible for driving regional sales performance, implementing strategic initiatives, and overseeing multiple sales teams. This position requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of market trends, strong analytical skills, and the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams across different regions. The Regional Sales Director will work closely with the Director of Sales, EMEA , to shape and execute regional strategies that align with broader company objectives, ensuring sustained growth and market expansion. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, regional oversight, market analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership development, all aimed at achieving ambitious sales targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve regional and company-wide objectives.
  • Assist the Director of Sales, EMEA  with staff development and regional expansion initiatives.
  • Shape the overall regional strategy and influence broader company goals.

Regional Oversight:

  • Oversee multiple regional sales managers, ensuring their teams meet performance and growth targets.
  • Provide coaching and support to regional team leads, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Tailor strategies and initiatives to the specific needs and characteristics of different regions.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify sales growth opportunities
  • Advise senior leadership on market trends and strategic shifts.
  • Develop strategies to enhance market share.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, HR, finance, and operations to ensure regional activities align with overall company goals.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to optimise regional performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and analyse advanced performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to the Director of Sales, EMEA .
  • Use data analytics to drive strategic decisions and regional performance improvements.
  • Adjust strategies as needed based on performance data and market feedback.

Leadership Development:

  • Implement training and development programmes for regional team leads to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Focus on mentoring and developing regional team leads, including succession planning.

Change Management:

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive regional growth and organisational development.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new processes and systems across regions.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within regional operations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and identify areas for operational enhancements.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including major clients and partners.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Required Qualifications

Cross-Cultural Experience:

  • Proven experience working in diverse, cross-cultural environments.
  • Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to adapt strategies across different regions.

Sales Track Record:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets within a B2B sales environment.
  • Proven ability to grow market share and drive month-over-month revenue growth, with specific experience in managing multiple regions.

Leadership and Managerial Experience:

Experience in coaching and developing high-performing sales teams, with a focus on leadership development and succession planning.

Data Analytics and Performance Monitoring:

  • Strong proficiency in using data analytics tools to drive decision-making and optimise sales strategies.
  • Ability to monitor KPIs and use performance metrics to make informed, strategic decisions to improve regional outcomes.

Presentation and Communication Skills:

  • Excellent presentation skills, both in person and virtually, to influence senior leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor messaging for different audiences, including regional sales teams and cross-functional departments.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and regional strategies.
