Monzo Europe is an Irish-based subsidiary of the Monzo Group which will, upon authorisation, be the base for Monzo’s expansion as a bank into the European Union. We are building a new and exciting financial institution focused on providing innovative and customer-centric banking services across the EU.
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Risk Reporting and Analytics Manager to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. This role is critical in supporting the digital bank’s risk oversight by delivering high-quality risk reporting, insightful analytics, and decision-support metrics across the risk taxonomy. You will help drive data-led risk intelligence, enhance the effectiveness of the risk framework, and support risk governance at all levels of the organisation. This role reports to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, Monzo Europe.
🔑 You’ll play a key role by...
- Develop and maintain a suite of regular and ad-hoc risk reports for executive and board level consumption, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timeliness
- Analyse complex banking data to identify key risk trends, emerging issues, and providing insightful interpretations
- Design and create impactful dashboards, visualisations, and presentations to communicate risk information effectively to diverse audiences
- Support the implementation of risk appetite monitoring and related reporting mechanisms
- Collaborate with data scientists and risk stakeholders to enhance data quality, reporting capabilities, and analytical frameworks
- Prepare data and analysis to support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management in presentations for senior management and board committees
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk reporting processes and ensuring regulatory reporting compliance within the EU
- Drive the automation and visualisation of risk reporting
- Support regulatory and internal audit requirements by providing accurate risk data and evidence of effective risk management
🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have proven experience in data mining, analysis and reporting or risk analytics role, ideally within a regulated industry. Experience in banking is a plus!
- You possess strong analytical skills and are highly comfortable manipulating and interpreting large, complex datasets
- You have excellent data visualisation and presentation skills, capable of creating clear and impactful reports for various audiences
- You are familiar with preparing risk reports across multiple risk types (credit, financial, operational, financial crime, compliance)
- You have experience collaborating with data scientists and a strong understanding of data quality and reporting systems
- You are detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and are adept at working independently and collaboratively
