As a Sales Development Associate at SumUp, you will have the opportunity to earn uncapped commission by building relationships with Germans small businesses and helping them understand the value SumUp products can drive. With our expansive product toolkit, you can act as a solutions consultant and offer all solutions in-house.
What you’ll do:
- Proactively Engage Prospective Clients: Initiate contact with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) through targeted outbound calls, focusing on those who may not be expecting your outreach.
- Assess Business Needs: Evaluate merchants' current setups and identify their requirements for Point-of-Sale (POS) and payment solutions, gathering essential business information to determine suitability for SumUp's offerings.
- Educate on SumUp's Solutions: Provide clear and informative explanations of SumUp's POS and payment products, addressing potential client objections effectively and highlighting the benefits tailored to their business needs.
- Schedule Qualified Appointments: Based on the assessment, arrange meetings for the field sales team to deliver detailed product demonstrations, negotiate pricing, and close deals with qualified leads.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Utilize CRM tools to document interactions, update prospect information, and track outreach efforts, ensuring a robust and organized sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with Field Sales Team: Work closely with on-field consultants to ensure seamless handovers of qualified leads, contributing to a cohesive sales process and customer experience.
- Native German speaker (C2) with excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
- Proven success in sales, particularly within the hospitality, retail, or point-of-sale (POS) solutions sectors. (Field Sales is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales targets and deliver outstanding results.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the building of trust and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Deep understanding of your market, coupled with a genuine passion for supporting local small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
- Experience in outbound lead generation, including cold calling and developing robust sales pipelines.
