THE ROLE

You will join our high-impact SAP team as a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to design and optimize custom applications critical to our global SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role is a central collaboration point, translating complex functional needs into robust, scalable, and high-performance technical solutions that directly enhance core business processes. Your mission is to drive innovation within the SAP ecosystem, ensuring we maintain a cutting-edge, efficient, and reliable enterprise platform.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Accelerate our S/4HANA deployment by developing, testing, and deploying complex, custom ABAP programs, ensuring optimal functionality and integration across key modules like FI, SD, and MM.

• Architect scalable data exchange by designing and implementing sophisticated SAP interfaces, including IDOCs, RFCs, and OData/Web Services, to facilitate seamless integration with internal and external systems.

• Elevate the user experience by building modern Fiori applications (using UI5, Fiori Elements, etc.) and leveraging modern SAP development techniques like CDS Views and BTP RAP to deliver intuitive and responsive applications.

• Ensure solution stability and performance by leading code reviews, performing advanced debugging, and executing performance tuning to guarantee our solutions are efficient, adhere to best practices, and deliver maximum business value.

• Own the technical documentation lifecycle for developed solutions and act as the Level 3 support expert, collaborating with the AMS team to resolve critical, complex technical issues and minimize operational downtime.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Deep Proficiency in SAP ABAP: 4+ years of experince in developing robust solutions using modern ABAP techniques, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), Interfaces, and Enhancement Frameworks.

• Modern SAP Technology Acumen: Strong, hands-on experience with core technologies like CDS Views, OData services, and an understanding of ABAP on HANA, with experience in BTP RAP being highly desirable.

• Interface and Integration Mastery: Demonstrated skill in building and troubleshooting SAP interfaces, including IDOCs, RFCs, and Web Services, to facilitate complex data synchronization.

• Fiori/UI Development Capability: Proven ability to develop user-centric Fiori applications using UI5 (Freestyle UI5, Fiori Elements) to enhance business workflow efficiency.

• Problem-Solving and Optimization: Excellent analytical and debugging skills with experience in performance tuning and transport management to ensure production stability.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
