What is the Role:
Elastic is looking for a passionate and energetic Manager for our growing Sales Development Team in ASEAN. As a SDR-Manager you will lead the hiring, enablement and coaching of our ever-growing Sales Development Representatives Team.
The Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) play a critical role in the company’s success by developing the top of the sales funnel. The Elastic SDR Team is made up of an incredible group of smart, creative, passionate professionals who work hard to help users successfully navigate their Elastic journey and to generate new business opportunities for the Sales Team. Importantly, the SDRs are honing their skills to become the future leaders of the company. This is where you come in.
What You Will Be Doing:- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of SDRs, providing guidance and ongoing feedback to ensure they meet and exceed their individual and team targets.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to onboard new hires and continuously upskill existing team members on Elastic's technology, value proposition, and sales best practices.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive, results-driven, and collaborative team culture.
- Strategy & Operations:
- Define and execute the SDR strategy for an APJ region, aligning with global and regional sales and marketing goals.
- Work closely with the Sales Strategy and Operations team to refine processes, analyze performance metrics, and drive team productivity.
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure a continuous flow of high-quality leads and provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with Account Executives and Sales leadership to ensure seamless lead handoffs and a healthy, high-quality sales pipeline.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and identify new business opportunities and market segments.
- Hiring & Recruitment:
- Play a key role in identifying, interviewing, and hiring top talent for the SDR team.
- Create a pipeline of future SDRs by actively engaging with the local talent market.
- Develop career paths and progression plans for SDRs, preparing them for future leadership or Account Executive roles within the company.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as outbound activity, lead qualification rates, pipeline generation, and conversion metrics.
- Utilize CRM (Salesforce) and other sales intelligence tools to manage data, track performance, and provide accurate forecasts.
- Present regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting team performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- 4+ years of experience in software sales and/or sales development, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology company.
- Proven success in a Sales Development leadership role, with a track record of hiring, coaching, and motivating a high-performing team.
- A strong understanding of sales development processes, methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, BANT), and best practices for both inbound and outbound prospecting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to use metrics to identify trends, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce is a must) and other sales engagement platforms.
- Cultural awareness and experience working with diverse teams and markets across the APJ region.
