We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Specialist to join our Platform engineering team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, mitigating, and managing security risks across our infrastructure and applications. Your role will involve designing and implementing security best practices, conducting regular security assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will be instrumental in ensuring our systems remain resilient to cyberattacks and secure from unauthorized access.

Your Tasks

  • Establish and maintain the security posture for our cloud environments.

  • Configure and set up our SIEM solution.

  • Implement and maintain measures as defined by security standards.

  • Participate in security incident management.

  • Perform security reviews on our developer platform and cloud environments. 

  • Support team members with security-related designs, which can be implemented by you or our platform engineers.

  • Participate in SOC roles as a security analyst, e.g. configuration management and monitoring of WAF applications.

  • Ensure the security and compliance of the platform by implementing best practices and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends.

You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience working with security, either in a SOC role, a DevSecOps role or as part of a platform team.

  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, Bitbucket pipelines, or Jenkins.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
