This role will be based in New York, and associated with our AKQA Los Angeles studio.

Role Overview:
As the Senior Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the client's business, AKQA processes, team skills, and financials. You will take charge of fostering strong relationships with senior clients while managing a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, team well-being, account status updates, onboarding, training, and providing guidance to support staff. Additionally, you will confidently address brand, program, and account needs at all levels.
Role Requirements:
- Proven track record in account management, apparel and lifestyle brand experience a plus
- 10-12+ years experience in program and client management within an agency; embedded client-team experience highly desired
- Willing and able to travel up to 4 weeks per year, including international travel
- Background in fully integrated, strategic account management, able to work in a hands-on capacity from ideation to deliverable
- Ability to lead diverse teams and manage large multi-disciplinary teams within an agency
- Deliver detailed and accurate account and project reports regularly
- Establish strong relationships with lead clients
- Conduct meticulous reporting, planning, and costing of accounts
- Interact with clients regularly, attend recurring client meetings, and manage account reporting and tracking
- Utilize AKQA's and client's software and systems for effective team communication and collaboration
- Manage and monitor specialists and subcontractors to maintain quality and guidelines
- Resolve client and team issues in a positive, solutions-oriented manner while maintaining strong financials and relationships
- Manage and support onsite team managers and discipline leads to execute tasks across the account
- Project management experience is a plus, including scoping, estimate creation, and project execution
