About The Team

The Crunchyroll Accounting Team is a global organization of nearly 50 professionals working together to support all of our critical business functions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policy and regulatory bodies. As part of the accounting leadership team, this individual is joining during a period of significant transformation and will have an opportunity to help build out an outstanding team and processes to help the company achieve our ambitious goals for global growth in both the near and long term!

Location: Melbourne

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA (or equivalent) certification is highly preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Media or Technology industry is preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience using NetSuite is an asset.
• Experience with SOX is an asset.

A day in the life of our Senior Accountant:

• Business partnering with non-financial departments of the company.
• Own month-end process for accruals, provisions, prepayments, and fixed assets/depreciation.
• Intercompany journals and reconciliations.
• Revenue invoicing.
• Process month-end/year-end close, by posting journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.
• Assist with audit and tax reporting requests and audits.
• Prepare BAS & WHT remittance information for ATO.
• Monthly credit card reconciliations and staff reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly financial analyses to assist business with operational decision making.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc requests.
