The Harry's Inc working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. About the Team

The Lume + Mando Accounting team at Harry’s is a part of Global Finance and responsible for recording transactions, validating completeness and accuracy, recording and presenting actual results of the financials of the company. The team plays a critical role in enabling senior management to make fast, data-driven strategic decisions for the Lume + Mando brands.

 

About the Role

This position supports the Lume and Mando brands. This position will play a key role in supporting the scale and growth of the business, specifically within the Mass Retail sales channel, through helping the team build efficiencies into the month-end close process, strengthening controls in key accounting procedures and reporting on financial data in an impactful way. You will be working directly with the greater North American Accounting team and will regularly engage with cross-functional teams throughout the company. 

 

What you will accomplish:

  • Support Accounting Manager in day-to-day operations, needs and issues of the Mass Retail sales channel, including revenue recognition and related reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold
  • Responsible for the recording and reconciling of Mass Retail gross-to-net revenue adjustments such as chargebacks, allowances and trade spend
  • Own key balance sheet accounts such as intercompany receivables/payables and equity
  • Complete Month End closing tasks, including performing reconciliations, creating adjusting journal entries and analyzing/explaining variances
  • Assist in the preparation of materials used to communicate financial results to various teams and key stakeholders across the business, and participate in those meetings when requested
  • Facilitate the development, documentation, and improvement of processes and procedures to drive financial discipline across the company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on key activities and priorities to ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with our processes and procedures
  • Provide support to Controller and Accounting Manager with annual audit, system improvement projects, and other ad-hoc requests as needed

 

You might have this background:

  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Audit experience at a top-10 public accounting firm with strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Active CPA license (or pursuing)
  • CPG, retail, manufacturing or e-commerce experience, a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep into solving problems and data inconsistency
  • Always looking to improve yourself and the processes around you
  • Proven experience working at an advanced level in Excel
  • Ultimate team player; you always want to help out and there is no job too big or too small
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sense of humor -- we take our work seriously and ourselves un-seriously

 

 

Here's who you'll work with: 

  • You will report to the Controller, Lume + Mando
  • You will work closely with the full Lume + Mando Accounting team and Shared Services accounts payable team
  • You will communicate regularly with the FP&A, Treasury, Distribution and Supply Chain teams, to name a few

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $71,200-$97,900, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
