Position Overview

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for implementing the risk management framework, investment guidelines and restriction checks, liquidity management and all other AIFMD requirements. The role also encompasses organisational support of the investment committee and risk committee, which are closely linked to each other. The Senior Analyst will be involved in a broad range of tasks and will support the team in all aspects of its remit. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communication skills, be able to meet deadlines and prioritize the workload. You must be a hardworking self-starter capable of demonstrating commitment and attention to detail. In this position, you will closely collaborate with other members of the private debt and non-private debt, legal, reporting and operations teams.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Familiarization of StepStone Private Debt inhouse systems and database
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly investment controlling/guidelines reports for all funds managed by the AIFM
  • Prepare monthly leverage reports and quarterly stress test reports for all funds managed by the AIFM
  • Ensure pre-trade compliance for loan investments
  • Ensure eligibility for secondary investments
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly board packs and organization of the monthly Investment Committee and Risk Committee meetings
  • Attendance and organisational support of relevant StepStone Private Debt committees
  • Analyse and process business data to address ad-hoc requests
  • Maintain fund specific investment guidelines within proprietary database
  • Constantly identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure consistent documentation of tasks, tools, processes and interfaces
  • Identify cross training and coverage across the team
  • Support other people within the team during absences

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master degree from a top-tier college
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with alternative investments is a positive
  • Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple projections and achieve target deadlines
