Personio is looking for both a Senior and Professional level Analytics Engineer to join its central Analytics Engineering team, where you will work on building and maintaining cross-functional data products as well as the central data warehouse. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to help utilize data as effectively as possible across Personio. 

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Data Warehousing: Leverage industry standards and best practices to design, build and maintain our data warehouse and build new data products.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Partner directly with business stakeholders and other data team members to gather requirements, understand data challenges, and suggest ways to use data more effectively.
  • Automation: Partner with the Data Science and Systems teams to build workflows that help optimize core business processes.
  • Data Enablement: Enable analysts to utilize data models effectively and support independent creation of models. 
  • Platform Development: Identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement in the data platform, tool stack, data processes, and data quality.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working with data transformation tools such as dbt, building scalable data products and working with a cloud data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • Technical Skills: Expert level SQL and dbt knowledge. Proficiency in python a plus
  • Data Modelling: Experience in building optimizing data for BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to discuss ideas and requirements with stakeholders from different departments and to advocate for our core principles
  • Business knowledge: Experience working with financial data or knowledge of SaaS metrics is a plus
