As a key member, you'll have significant ownership in shaping our processes, tackling complex challenges, and defining the future of our team and product vision.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of building and evolving our consumer-facing mobile app, delivering innovative financial services across Europe and beyond. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping how our consumers interact with our expanding merchant ecosystem, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.

 What you’ll do

• You’ll be building our consumer mobile app, providing financial services to consumers in Europe and beyond. 
• You’ll shape how our consumers interact with our growing consumer merchant ecosystem.
• In the first few weeks, you'll dive into the code and learn how to create clean components in our codebase. You'll use this knowledge to start developing and refining features.
• In the first three months, you'll develop major features that impact our consumer base. You'll work closely with product and design departments to build features that are maintainable, usable and beautiful. You'll help us re-think problems we've solved before in a different way as needs evolve.
• By the end of your first year, you'll have a wealth of knowledge about our complex problem domain, as well as its implications in the interface and in the backend – and how to manage it in a clean way. 
• Working closely with other mobile engineers on setting up and implementing best engineering practices for Android across the company

You’ll be great for this position if

• Solid expertise in Kotlin and the Android framework. Java knowledge is a plus.
• Proven experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Pair Programming
• A strong passion for user-centric design, with a keen eye for usability and visual aesthetics 
• A commitment to writing clean, well-tested code, balanced with the pragmatism to deliver quickly when needed
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand the big picture, architect effective solutions, break them down into manageable tasks, and deliver results
• Mature and user-focused approach to software engineering, prioritizing the end-user experience
• An eagerness to explore and utilse AI-powered tools to enhance development workflows
