Senior Associate, Talent Development
This role reports into our Boston office Monday-Thursday (remote flexibility on Friday).
Wayfair’s Global Talent Development team is tasked with guiding Wayfair employees through development opportunities and touchpoints so they can grow and succeed from day one forward. Every day we work with key stakeholders across the organization to develop our people and help Wayfair remain a leader in e-commerce. The Role
Wayfair is looking for a driven, customer focused partner to join our Talent Development team. In partnership with the team, you will be responsible for running some of our highest priority learning programs that reach our diverse global workforce. Your role will involve defining program strategies (e.g., learning modalities, participant experience, etc.), building learning content, facilitating learning content, and managing programs. You will also report out on key learning metrics, and analyze those metrics to inform iterations. Success in this role is determined by your ability to effectively and efficiently build, execute, and iterate employee learning and development programming to address key talent challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage eLearnings and live trainings for Wayfair employees of all levels and roles
- Partner with facilitators, analyze participant feedback, and iterate content
- Assess and identify new learning needs; design new content as needed, ensuring content is scalable, on brand, and caters to varying learning styles
- Support learning content design & facilitation efforts across the Global Talent Development team (e.g., assist the Performance team in creating manager training, facilitate new hire orientation sessions)
- Support program operations (both in person and virtually) including facilitation, participant logistics, and communications
- Collect and analyze insights from data, such as user feedback, to drive decision making and program iteration
- Conduct research on learning best practices, adult learning methodology and provide recommendations for the development of new and existing content
Preferred Skills
- 3-5 years of experience
- Passion for the growth and development of others
- Highly effective at managing timelines, delivery, and communication across teams
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, but also able to work autonomously
- Self-motivated and determined
- Demonstrates a relentless customer focus as it relates to program participants and talent stakeholders
- Thrives in a fast paced environment; works with urgency
- Knowledge of Google Suite
- Experience with facilitation preferred, but not required. At minimum, bring an interest in becoming an experienced and skilled facilitator
- Learning experience design (LXD) experience
- Experience with program management a plus
- Background in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Learning, and/or Organizational Change a plus
