The Procurement Alliance vision is to build a state of the art supply chain technology that enables a lean and sustainable procurement process from Suppliers to HelloFresh facilities and improves customer experience with accurate ingredient data flow and optimal ingredient quality. As a Senior Engineer in Purchase Order planning team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing technical solutions for business problems, being a topic captain for the initiatives. You will work with our cross teams to ensure that our efforts are aimed at achieving a clearer architecture and boundaries between tech teams to support autonomy. You will communicate directly with our business stakeholders and multiple tech teams supporting local markets.

• Take ownership of the architecture, design, development, deployment and operations of the services you will develop, using DevOps practices, pair programming and other cutting edge methodologies 
• Be active, solution-oriented member of autonomous, cross-functional agile teams collaborating with Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, Designers, and Business Intelligence teams 
• Having an in-depth understanding of HelloFresh’s core product and architecture, and act as ambassador for software solutions offering support and mentorship to colleagues
• Solve software problems that have visible risks, roadblocks, and constraints. Examples might include legacy dependencies, data quality, compliance, and architecture or technology limitations.

• Experience working with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Solid problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of a couple of programming languages. Experience with or willingness to learn JVM.
• Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, including proficiency in synchronous/asynchronous communication.
• Experienced in end-to-end development processes, including unit, integration & functional testing, distributed architecture, application tuning/profiling, and continuous integration
